A sweater, jumper, pullover, sweatshirt, jersey or guernsey is a garment intended to cover the torso and arms. They are often worn over a shirt, blouse, T-shirt, or other top. Q. I heard that you can make wool mittens made from recycled sweaters and they have a really cool vintage look. Unfortunately, I don't have any old sweaters and I don't know how to knit or sew, but I'd really like to get some for myself and for some Christmas gifts for my "green" friends. I actually just found a website that sells really cool handmade sweater mittens - I ordered some for Christmas presents too! The designs all either have a cool retro or vintage look to them and they look like really warm and comfy mittens too!
