How much time before my formal is ideal for getting my makeup and hair done?
Q. For my formal, I have booked to get my makeup and hair professionally done at the same place. My formal begins at 6.30 and my hair appointment is at 1.45 and my makeup is being done at 2.30. With the consideration of time for photos to be taken before arriving at the formal, am I getting my hair and makeup done too early? I am worried that having them done at these times will mean there will be too much time between then and the formal and my makeup and hair with not look as nice and fresh. What are your thoughts?

A. Hair should be fine at that time and i would suggest leaving makeup until a little later in the day maybe around 4 - 4.30 as you want to look your best all night,... have a blast

What is considered formal wear for a wedding?
Q. I have a wedding I am going to in August and the wedding is at 6pm. My husband and I have never been ones to dress up. We are more of the rocker/punk/goth style: jeans, t-shirt or baby tee, ol' school chucks and maybe a hat with dark make-up for me. Oh yeah, and not to forget the tattoos and piercings... What is considered formal for going to a wedding and then to a reception at a really nice resturant? I am in dire need for help b/c I am not the type to spend a lot of money on dress clothes when I know I will probably never wear them again? Also, is is ok for a female to wear pants if it is formal or does it need to be a dress? Please help! Thanks in advance!

A. Formal for a women is a formal dress. Try second hand stores as sometimes they have some very nice women's clothing for affordable prices. As you can see from my photo, formal for a man is a formal suit and tie.
